I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Grenoble Alpes, working in association with the ERC project Mental Files: New Foundations at the Collège de France.
I work in philosophy of mind and cognitive science, with a focus on the self and self-representation. My primary research explores how the self is represented in perception, bodily awareness, and action. Driving this work is the idea that our capacities to think and talk about ourselves have their origins in low-level cognition. I also have interests in Chinese philosophy and the philosophy of science. I recently received my Ph.D. from UCLA. Before that, I earned an A.B. in Philosophy from Princeton University and spent a year teaching English and Philosophy at Shihezi University in Xinjiang, China as a Princeton in Asia Fellow. |
